On the occasion of the Puente del Pilar, the hotel price comparator www.trivago.es has compiled the 20 destinations in which its Spanish users have made the most hotel searches with a view to traveling this weekend. 
The three destinations where more searches for accommodation have been made in order to enjoy the long weekend are Madrid, Granada and Barcelona. Zaragoza, which celebrates its Fiestas del Pilar, is in fourth position, while Seville is fifth in the ranking.

Among the 20 most sought after destinations are many Spanish cities, both inland and on the coast. In addition to the five capitals already mentioned, Córdoba, Toledo, Valencia, Benidorm, Salamanca, San Sebastián, Salou, Bilbao, Segovia and Cáceres appear on the list.
The analysis shows that Spaniards prefer to make short-distance trips, since, in addition to the predominance of national destinations, among the few cities abroad that appear on the list are Andorra La Vella and Lisbon. The only destinations located outside the Iberian Peninsula are the European capitals London, Paris and Rome.
